About Me

I live in Chicago, IL USA. I run a small independent record label called Sick Room Records (http://www.sickromrecords.com). We have a bunch of cool stuff available, and always have new projects in development. I also just came back from a nine week intensive training to become certified to teach Bikram Yoga. I am teaching at three different studios right now, and loving it.

Favourite Things

Music: lots of rock, punk, post-punk/post-rock, indie, hip-hop, soul, pop, experimental, alt-country, your daddy's country, folk, jazz, improv, everything else. In high school I started reading a lot of Latin American and Spanish writers, and they are still among my favorites. Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar. I also love William Saroyan, Roald Dahl, Will Self, David Sedaris, and the list goes on. Currently reading The Savage Detectives by Robert Bolano. Also lots of poetry: Simic, Tate, Octavio Paz, Neruda, Bukowski, blah blah.
