I am watching Meet The Spartans right now, only because I can’t be bothered changing the channel. This is truly worse than Epic Movie and Date Movie, which barely got a smile from me.
Scary Movie 3 was the pinnacle of this franchise, Superhero Movie was also not too bad (they had different writers – and a coherent plot!).
Can anyone suggest a worse movie? And movies so-bad-that-they-became-good/cult movies, don’t count!
My all time worst movie Throw Momma from the Train.

The Covenant – I laughed my way through the entire movie until the shirtless scenes. After which, of course, I resumed the Bwahaha.
Dragonball Evolution – The opening shot of an extreme closeup of sweat dripping off Goku’s nose? I’m not sure what happened after that since I spent most of the movie with my eyes rolling into the back of my head
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale – Jason Statham, Matthew Lillard, Ray Liotta, and Burt Reynolds… HUH? I’m still not sure I made the whole thing up while drunk.
And the winner…
The Last Airbender – I religiously watched the show since its premiere. M. Might Shayamalan proved his villainy by attempting artistic murder in front of a paying nation. If anything in the movie made sense, it’s because I made it up while I was dadreaming halfway through.
I liked Epic Movie ![]()
I found the new Clash of the Titans movie one of the most boring and stupid films I’ve ever seen. When old people (i.e. those over 30 ;]) used to say “This isn’t as good as the original” about songs and films, I used to think they were clinging on to attached sentiment and all that jazz. The remake taught me the phrase is valid!
I didn’t end up seeing The Last Airbender because it was critically and universally panned by all. I thought it had massive potential.
The new Clash Of The Titans was alright in my opinion, it did rely too much the 3D stuff though, which was very obviously tacked on at the end of production. I haven’t seen any of the original versions, but I can understand why you think this one might have been a bit flat.
Oh, also Norbit, that movie was just bad. I think it miht have won a Razzie as well.
Not to pull the race card, but Norbit seemed to be aimed towards the black american demographic. The only ppl I know who found it funny were all black. Myself included.
JM88, totally disagree with you about Clash of the Titans… I saw it in 3D and most of the views said it benefitted from not being in 3D. It was just a terrible film! Terrible acting, terrible script, terrible terrible terrible! ![]()
Naked Weapon (not to be confused with the Naked Gun franchise)
The only redeeming quality is the scantilly clad assassins.
Prolly the worst I’ve ever seen was The Marine, a film in which John Cena does his usual day job of pretending to beat people up and putting on a pouty face. Everything was cliche, from start to finish, and within a few seconds, I was not only happy to personally torture and kill the bad guys, but also the good guys, the mediocre guys, the extras, the director, the producers and indeed anyone who was even slightly related to this film. Including the entirety of the WWE or WWF or WWW or whatever the hell it’s called these days.
Close second was a very poor remake of The In Laws, which was in itself a very poor remake of a wasted afternoon watching paint dry. The only two highlights were David Suchet being overly camp, and even that wasn’t as good as he usually is, and a non speaking part of a french gangster heavy who was tall, tanned, blonde haired and preeety. Apart from that, I think I would have had more fun banging my head against the wall. With spikes.
This one deviates a little from horribleness.
I have a weird habit of finishing movies even if they are crap. I think I have turned off a few movies and forgot to go back to them and then needed to return them without finishing, but this is rare.
One thing I almost never do is walk out of a movie. I have only done this once in my life. I also fear docfate may kill me if I tell you what movie it was…

Memoirs Of A Geisha :
DON’T HURT ME!
I got bored, I couldn’t follow the plot, the scenes dragged on forever and the movie itself had a pretty long runtime. I gave up trying to make sense of what was happening and decided that I wanted to catch an early train home. I probably will give it another go sometime, or possibly just read the book.
Also, Death Of A Salesman is pretty bad. The play was depressing and futile and the black and white movie we had to watch of it just made it even worse.
Memoirs of a Geisha is a great film!
That is all.
Even though I am honor bound to destroy your life for hating anything to do with Japan, I’ve actually never seen it. lol.
I thought Memoirs of a Geisha was a great film just based on cinematography alone…
Hey! Enough of the great films! Where’s your very worst?! Keep on topic people!
Oh, and DrFate? Ever played Shogun Total War? If not, do so. You’ll find a new heaven there. Just don’t bother getting Shogun 2. It will be an epic fail of epic proportions.
Hilarious in just how truly horrible it is, would be the cinematic masterpiece; Prince of Darkness, an 80’s D grade horror movie that is single-handedly one of the most unintentionally funny thing I have ever seen in my life.
